Introduction:

The human brain is the biggest in the animal kingdom in the context of the brain-body ratio. Its structure is most complex in the Universe. The complexity lies in the order of the different reality of structure and functionality under the different resolution. How does the functionality at the microscopic level generate macroscopic behavior?

Which are the processes that run our mind as it infuses emotion, love or a craving for an addiction? Why do we momentarily feel scared while watching a scary movie in spite of knowing fully well that it is not real? How do we generate the movements of our body as well as our thoughts? How do we do computation as we process the speed of the passing vehicle, to exercise our own right of the way? How do we navigate the complexities of our way home?

There is a Belief Engine in the brain. It works as the foundation for the generation of wisdom as well as the perceived reality. We take our ‘self’ for granted. We feel we have an entity. However, there is no one pressing buttons on a control panel inside our brain. The activity of the different region of the brain can be identified using scanning technology that has advanced remarkably in recent times. However, the self can nowhere be found. How does the brain generate the concept of self?

How do we learn new skills or adopt a new behavior? What happens to the brain as we age? How do we process and recollect memory, and how it falters? Our eyes are forward placed enabling our vision to be predominant among our senses. How do we process our vision? The awareness of our consciousness during wakefulness as well as perchance to dream as we sleep and there is much more.
